Ryedale Plasterers is a family business established in 1982. Over the years we’ve built an enviable reputation for excellence and are regarded as experts in the restoration of original plaster features.

Where we’re based

We are located in a small business park in Northallerton, North Yorkshire in a purpose built premises with our office, workshop, drying room, drawing and design area.

We have completed work nationwide, from Scotland to Kent, but mainly work within a 75 mile radius of DL6 2NB.

What we do

We offer bespoke and off-the-shelf products and services covering all aspects of lime plasterwork and decorative moulding. These include:

  • Internal and external lime plastering/rendering
  • Ornate plaster and cornice restoration
  • Plasterware manufacture
  • On-site mould-making
  • Bespoke logos, crests, coats of arms and other embellishments.

Who we are

Operations director Jack Atkinson heads up our team of skilled craftsmen, after starting at Ryedale as an apprentice many moons ago. Jack took over the running of the business from previous MD Catherine Windross who retired in April 2023.  Among the team is a third-generation ornamental plasterer with over 50 years’ experience, our apprentice who is about to complete his NVQ Level 2 and a proficient assistant/ labourer.

In addition to their qualifications and hands-on experience, they hold a variety of specialist craft qualifications, including:

  • historical restoration
  • ornate & fibrous plastering
  • modelling
  • sculpting
  • design crafts.
